Firstly my comments are personal to me and may not reflect the opinions of my fellow cruise passengers. However speaking to many British,And American guests many agreed with what is included in this review. This was our 5th cruise with RCI and we had previously experienced a great service top notch entertainment and lovely ships. Unfortunately the Vision of the Seas is starting to look dated.

For the first 7 days of our cruise we experienced loud noise which kept us awake each night. Apparently there was a problem with the air conditioning system which for us in stateroom 3081( inside), the system was at the back of our cabin. We complained almost every day and although guest services staff were sympathetic they could not offer us another cabin as none were available However on the 7th day we were offered another cabin on deck 2 inside, so we took this lower grade cabin as we just wanted a good nights sleep. To cut the story short we were eventually offered compensation which we accepted which was a voucher for reduction on a future cruise. Anyway let's get back to the cabin. The cabin was smaller than expected and a bit drab and colourless. They have removed the fridge and placed the contents on the small dressing table. Apparently no one has a fridge unless you are in a balcony or suite cabin. The stateroom t.v. Does not allow you to check your onboard spending, they have removed the shower/ gel soap from the dispensers and now only provide you with small bars of soap. The shower was really tiny and there was an ongoing joke about never being able to pick the soap up from the floor when your in the shower if you drop the soap.

Overall the ship appearance is fine, the Aqurius dining room is lovely, as is the centrum area, are particularly nice. Negatives for us was the windjammer. It was all of a mishmash not like other windjammer dining on other RCI ships. It was always busy and we noticed the cleanliness of the windjammer wasn't up to standard . Too many guests and not enough staff to clean up / remove stuff from tables. We witnessed one day a senior member of staff spill a beaker of apple juice over the table and chair whilst clearing it away. We watched as he used a used napkin to wipe the table and chair then left it , not coming back to wipe table properly. The edges of the carpets in the windjammer were grubby and the glass windows had lots of peeling of the window tints, which just made the appearance tatty.

The ship uses a tender to get you to the port very scenic with the old walled town you can easily walk around Montenegro.
