RCL are clearly lowering standards to accommodate the economy cruise market. The trouble is, having persuaded the more discerning passenger to trade up to Celebrity X, those standards are also plummeting.
But back to the Rhapsody.....On the plus side, with the exception of Athens, we found this to be a wonderful itinerary. The ship is dated but our balcony cabin, 7540, was adequate and comfortable.
Meals in the main Eidelweiss restaurant were average, service less so. Up to 20 minutes for a glass of wine and a bread roll. The menu was structured to look far more enticing than the plates delivered. Given this combination, we elected to dine in the Windjammer on half of the nights where the quality and choice of food was far better than the main dining room and with the added benefit that service was as fast, or slow as you wanted it to be.
Adequate with plenty of storage space
