Excellent cabin, good size, lots of storage

What can we say about Michelle and Island Wings that the other 300 reviewers haven't already said on tripadvisor!! Even our AMAZING photos look like many that are posted.!

During our Alaskan cruise with Princess cruises, we discovered the Misty Fjords flight seeing as a possible tour. 
But as seasoned travellers that find the most amazing tours, restaurants and experiences on our own, we figured that we could find our own cheaper and better.

Especially with Michelle offering the stopover at the halfway point in the flight, to book with Island Wings was no question. That's where you get the most individual chance to get 30 minutes to walk on the shore and get photos of each other and the plane on a beautiful glacial mountain lake.

A couple of extremely friendly young men took care of pickup and return right to the docks, so transportation was no problem, and they even had a few stories to tell about Ketchikan on the short drive to the dock.

Shona, that takes care of all the office bookings etc. is very efficient and helpful, as she addressed all our concerns/questions with email and phone calls.

All in all, our Alaskan tour and cruise was the most spectacular trip we could imagine, but we must say, without a doubt, our flight to Misty Fjords with Michelle was the highlight. She not only made it such a trill, but made us all feel such at ease with her skill and professionalism.

During our alaskan cruise with princess cruises, we discovered the train-rail combo as a possible tour. 
But as seasoned travellers that find the most amazing tours, restaurants and experiences using tripadvisor on our own, we figured that we could find our own cheaper and better.

Chilkoot was everything reviewers promised...they had an exclusive train car that was not full, so could freely move around for photos, while the cruise people were jammed full in all the other cars.
We all stop at the same lunch place with the sled dogs and museum, and make it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare.

But the bus portion was the best difference. With a small shuttle style tour bus we were able to stop (safely) at pull-over sections of the road that the cruise coach buses did not, and we could get close for pictures and lookouts. Also being such a small group we were able to decide that this group didn't prefer the shopping stops and decided to spend more time sightseeing, which was such a bonus.
Our driver, kevin was a treat, and gave a really informative narration, answered questions and was quite entertaining... He really tailored our stops to make us us appreciate the bus trip all the more.

As someone with asthma, we were very careful in reading the no smoking rules before booking, and Princess seemed pretty good, even restricting smoking on private balconies, which they said was strictly enforced...After the cruise l contacted Princess to understand why they simply could not close the casino doors to contain the smoke, and the rep couldn't really give me any good explanation...
