My wife and I just returned from this cruise. It was our 3rd cruise overall, second on Carnival. We are in our late 20s and not much into partying. This cruise was priced very well and the itinerary was excellent. There was a pretty even mix of couples, families, etc Overall we had a wonderful trip and highly recommend.

Room: we were in room 2393 amidships. It was your standard Carnival oceanview room, relatively spacious and very clean. Our cabin steward Richie was great, he knew us by name on day one. Room was always clean. Most of my complaints on this cruise were about the room; there was a rattling noise at night and in the afternoon there was a foul smell in the halls. Also the ac was not cool enough even on the coolest setting. Didn't complain about it at the time.

Food: excellent overall. As always buffets were hectic but they had good food options there. Room service and deli are standard. The blue iguana taco bar and Guys burgers were absolutely phenomenal, all items were fresh and you can add your own toppings. Don't miss fish and chips upstairs in the buffet! They had many good options also. Main dining room food and service was awesome. They had a great selection each day and the staff were super helpful. We did the my time dining so we had different waiters everyday but they were all nice. The one thing I didn't like is that even though you had a table for 2 it was on top of another couple. We usually went for dinner right at 545 to beat the crowds. They serve lobster tail on formal nights, had prime rib and filet mignon a few nights also. The steak was hit or miss in terms of cooking. If you have time eat breakfast in the dining room, its much better and quieter. Don't miss the sea day brunch either!! Filet mignon and fried eggs were amazing. We usually skipped dessert at dinner and got swirls later on.
