I was on my third cruise travelling with my sister and my two adult sons. We were lucky to get a FV stateroom which worked out just less than the price of a balcony plus interior and was worth it easily for the amazing balcony.

Dining -we made good use of the MDR, cafe, room service and cafe bacio but didn't pay any extra at all for upgraded dining. All food was excellent quality. We had select dining which worked really well for us on this cruise. We tended to dine around 6.30-7.30. If we hadn't booked there was usually a table available, if not we were given a buzzer and had a drink in cellar masters which is only a few steps away while we waited. The wait was always short. There did seem to be more queuing on some nights as we left. There were two lines, those who had booked and those who hadn't. We were almost always sat with the same servers which worked well.

Drinks -we had the 123go offer and didn't feel any need to upgrade from classic and didn't have any pressure at all to do so. We had several choices of red, white and Rose wines by the glass in the MDR -and elsewhere - and had our glasses refilled whenever they were becoming empty. We had excellent waiter and assistant.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View with Balcony

Cabin FV

Fantastic cabin for us. Plenty of room and storage even for 4 adults. We split the beds to singles and found them comfortable. The sofa beds were OK, just, for my two adult sons (19 and 23, both 6ft tall) but really more suitable for children. The mattresses were thin. I think it's possible to ask for more 'padding' but we didn't do that. I wouldn't recommend the sofabeds for anyone with back or mobility issues. The shower room was fine and we found it easy to organise use between 4 adults without difficulty. The 'private' access hall which leads in to this room made an excellent spot to step out and change clothing in privacy. Balcony huge with 2 loungers, 2 reclining chairs with 2 footstools and 2 other chairs, table for 4 and coffee table. The balcony flooring always looked a bit grubby but I think due to the nature of the nonslip material staining rather than any lack of cleaning.
