My wife and I booked our 1st cruise on NCL 5 months early only to find out that we could have booked the room next door for $1,500.00 cheaper. After contacting NCL 7 times about the price drop they said there was nothing they could do since we already paid in full for the cruise. Very poor customer service..... We were lied to about the quality of food and service provided by NCL sales reps. Also, the sales rep stated that with NCL YOU ARE NOT TREATED LIKE CATTLE WHEN BOARDING. THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT AS LONG IN LINE WHEN BOARDING THE SHIP. Another lie......... We waited over 1 1/2 hours boarding. My wife and I have taken 7 other cruises without any problems. Also we have traveled all over the world, this was by far the worst vacation cruise we have ever taken. But the real disgusting, and very disappointing thing was the food. NCL offered food that was at best the quality of a bad fast food restaurant. They consistently ran out of food for omelets, muffins, fruit, and were were slow in replenishing many other breakfast items. Long lines to get an omelet due to only one cook, many travelers were complaining.

Dinner at the main dinning was ever worst. One example was the Filet and shrimp dinner in the main dinning room. My wife and I both ordered it, and received a small thin leather non-Filet steak with two very small over fired shrimp. This was an Alaskan cruise ( June 4-8 ) from Vancouver, Canada. We thought we would have the chefs regional special on another night. It was a chicken dinner. We just had salad instead. We were never offered Salmon, Crab, Lobster, or fresh Halibut on this cruise. The only fish offered on this cruise was a cheap Mexican fish called Tilapia. The cooks on the cruise were were poorly trained. Very sad!!!!! We tried to talk to the head of the food service on the ship as well as the head chef but our concerns were never corrected. The Tapas bar was closed most of the 7 day cruise due to a art workshop. When the Tapas Bar was finally open it was a Hugh disappointment. Only a few basic selections. NCL IS A LOW END CRUISE LINE. DO YOURSELF A HUGH FAVOR AND USE ANY CRUISE EXCEPT NCL. MY WIFE AND I WILL NEVER USE NCL AGAIN................. The only good thing about this cruise was the entertainment which was good. This cruise was our 37th anniversary trip. We didn't let all the disappointments with NCL Sun cruise get in the way of us enjoying our anniversary.

The Glacier National Park, and Hubbard Glacier portion of this cruise was the highlight of our vacation. We wish we could of stayed longer to enjoy the beauty of the glaciers. We enjoyed the train ride in Skagway, and whale and rainforest tour in Juneau. In Seward we went on the 9 hour Northwest Glacier boat tour which we absolutely enjoyed. If you ever get a chance to go on this tour you not ever forget how beautiful Alaska is. The Exit Glacier hike was also very nice. In closing I really hate to be so negative bout the NCL Sun cruise we took June 4-8 from Vancouver to Seward, but fellow travelers need to know just how bad the NCL cruise was. Thank you Louie.
