We traveled with two other couples and were told we would have adjoining balconies but did not. When we asked for the doors between the balconies to be opened we were told no. Our boarding passes stated we could smoke on our balconies but once we boarded we were told we could not and would be charged a very large refreshing fee if we were caught smoking on the balcony.
Because our cruise headed North the weather was not very good. This would have been fine except there was very little for the children to do. They were kicked out of the indoor hot tubs and told they were for the adults only, even though they could not access the outside pools because of the weather.
The bar service was terrible. The drinks were never made consistently and most mixed drinks were cut in half unless I corrected them while they were making it. The first day was wonderful, servers walking around with drinks every where you turned ready to serve you with a smile. Every day after that you had to seek out a bar and then wait a significant amount of time for service. I heard many times from the staff that they were very short handed on this cruise.
The cabin was nice and very clean. Our steward was amazing. The light switches needed repair.
Saint John was beautiful. We landed on a good day as the locals said it was usually foggy and raining there. The weather was nice and the people were very nice.
Manhattan is always beautiful. Customs made it easy to get on and off the ship. Very friendly people. We did not have to wait long to board.
