I took my daughter on this cruise for her 30th birthday, it was a first for both of us. I have no complaints at all. The entire crew were very helpful and friendly.

We had an enclosed balcony suite and I was a bit worried because of reviews I had read about how bad these balconies are. Well we were completely fine with our balcony, the plexi glass covered the bottom portion with the top opened. There was metal along the sides but nothing to hamper the view. I don't know if all enclosed balconies are this good but if you get 8046 on the Norwegian Gem you won't be disappointed. Our cabin was very roomy and from what I was told this is one of the smaller balcony cabins.

We had the Ultimate Dining package and it was well worth it.

The cabin was very roomy. There were two very comfortable beds and a sitting area with a couch. The bathroom was kinda small but the shower was great. Lots of water pressure.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

We stayed in New York for two days before the cruise and went sightseeing on our own. We used the subway to get around and found it very easy to navigate.
