This is my personal experience and opinion with Carnival! Three sisters looking forward to their first cruise vacation together. Very seasoned at cruising but wanted to try Carnival.

Leaving out of NY was very convenient. We did have the priority check in which made the process easier. Cabin was wonderful, very spacious with lots of storage for the three of us. Cabin attendant, Sara was also wonderful. And that is where it ended.

Buffet on lido deck was a total disaster. We tried it a different times with the same results. Tables that were piled high with dirty plates, food was ice cold, couldn't find anyone on three different days to assist with hot water machine or getting coffee cups! Thank goodness for the specialty coffee bar! Food replenishment took forever so whatever you did have on your plate got cold. These types of issues occurred at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rarely a happy greeting from staff. Glasses and plates left on ledges, stairs all around ship for extended periods of time. Don't know if they were overworked or just not happy, but certainly not the same caliber as the competitors! Would look to see if menus were posted at dining area each day and of course they weren't.
