First let me say this was our first time cruising out of New York. Our fellow passengers were some of the nicest folks we've cruised with. We're NCL platinum, and cruise with Casino's @ Sea.

The Ship - fine. The same as others we've sailed in that class. While the food is the same, O'sheehan's is not the same as the newer ships. without the pool tables and various games, it is another dining venue. People actually have fun at the O'sheehan's on the newer ships.

They also turned the bar in Moderno into a mojito bar. While JoJo the bar tender was great, it surely doesn't have the same atmosphere as the mojito bar on the Getaway. Again, it's more of party on the Getaway, and very toned done on the Gem, since it's in a specialty restaurant. Read more
