Where to start. First, the boarding process, while the line was long, it really doesn't take l lot of time, 30 to 40 minutes or so from getting off the bus till I walked onto the ship. We had 2 staterooms with balconies, worth every penny. I took my grown son and daughter and my wife on this cruise.
THE SHIP: plenty to do, super clean, no serious issues of any kind. I will say the extra 25 bucks a head for the "specialty" restaurants seems a little high, but the food was excellent and a big step above the normal fare available in the main dining room. We also sprang the extra 6 bucks a head for a burger at Johnny Rockets, well worth it. Great burger and chocolate malts! Hit all the bars over the course of the cruise, bartenders were all very pleasant and had no issues mixing up anything my crew asked for. I will put in a plug that if you drink a lot on vacation, buy the ultimate package. not cheap at 65 bucks a day, but if you drink top shelf you'll easily come in positive vs. 12 bucks a drink. also includes all the bottled water and soda, etc. you could want. Favorite thing on the ship? Sitting on my balcony with an adult beverage each evening watching the sun set over the ocean while the ship slides through the water.
OFF THE SHIP: We rode jet skis at Koko Cay, lots of fun but you should be in decent shape as it's a bit of a workout if the water is choppy, and you get bounced around a lot. In St. Thomas take the pirate ship "Bones" for a snorkel tour, it was our favorite event of the cruise. Again, you need to be in decent shape to do the snorkeling, and think twice before swimming in for lunch, it's a bit further than it looks :-). In St Marteen we hopped on the racing yacht Canada II and raced the Stars and Stripes around the area, it also was a lot of fun for all of us.
Get a balcony. Worth every penny! showers are tiny, but it's a ship so not a big deal. I'm 6'2" and around 250lbs, so caught an elbow on the door/wall/etc. once in a while, but was still able to get a shower without an issue.
