The trip was supposed to be from Paris Down the Seine to Normandy and back but as the river was too high we had to embark from further down river. However we did get into Paris on the return trip.
The whole cruise was well organised, the crew were excellent, the excursions (whilst expense) had excellent guides and we got to see and experience lot more than we would have done travelling independently.
The food was top class - I cannot think of a thing I would have changed, except some of the serving staff (whilst charming, delightful people) seemed a little inexperienced, they could have done with more experienced staff to support them.
We were in "steerage" (my description) (the lowest class of cabin - porthole was on the waterline and naturally was sealed shut) - however we spent little time in the cabin, it does not have to be as well appointed as on a sea going vessel. It was good enough - but to illustrate my point - there was a TV but we never even turned it on - there was so much happening else where in the ship. This is fine for younger more active people - may be for more sedentary types they would need a larger window, to watch the river go by. I was entirely happy - given that we had not paid so much for it.
