Sail Date: Jun 2015

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our cruise overall - first time cruisers so I figured this would be an affordable, quick trip to try. I found the $199 deal on Groupon & paid the additional $45 (approx) in fees when I actually called to book/reserve my date. The woman who took my reservation was brief but answered the few questions I had (I did pretty thorough research online prior to purchasing the Groupon).

Boarding was relatively easy & convenient. We had stayed in Riviera Beach Thursday prior to our Friday sailing date & Ubered to the port around 11:45am, stood in a brief line to enter the port. We checked our bags, they tagged them & we went upstairs to the main floor to check in. We filled out our cruise card paperwork/waiver & were promptly shown to the check-in counter - the staff were friendly & accommodating. We received our on-board credit cards & were directed to the area where they were taking pics, setting up dinner reservations, scheduling excursions & selling bottle/wine services. No one was overly pushy although we did order 2 bottles of wine to be delivered to us at dinner in the Stellar Prime restaurant both nights, which we ending up changing. They say the prices are cheaper with them before boarding the boat but I don't think that's true. We made our dinner reservations & proceeded to wait for them to allow us to board. We waited maybe 30-45min before they opened the doors once on board they advised us they were serving lunch on deck 10.

Lunch was buffet style (I only had a burger & fries which both my boyfriend & I enjoyed). There were servers walking around with trays full of drinks - $8-$11 & did ask often but didn't get pushy once you said no. We DID NOT purchase any drink packages/vouchers at the advise of other reviewers & I'm glad we did not. We don't drink soda at all & not much juice. I purchased 2 bottled waters for $3.75 each they were pretty big & lasted us the entire trip. At this point (maybe 1pm) after the drink servers passed us 5x with drinks & buckets for bottle service we began to regret our choice to be frugal & buy 2 bottles of wine versus a bottle of liquor (which came with 6 cans of sodas to mix). At approximately 2:30pm we were able to access our cabins.

Cabin Review

Cabin Interior

Clean, TV & air conditioning worked (while we heard a whole entire floor was without a/c). Our cabin steward Frederick kept our room spotless & provided us with whatever we needed.
