Travelled to Fjords 13th June 6 nights. 1st thing that struck me was the lack of security on embarkation. Despite checkpoints at Tilbury we were just waved through, at the boat we picked up our boarding passes and were asked to go around the XRAY machine, something that would never happen at an airport. On our return there wasn't even a Passport check, no customs just straight out into London and away. The boat was very dated but furnished ok inside, outside areas were scruffy & tatty. The boat moved a lot in the water, rocking & listing, far more than I've experienced on other ships & several people were unwell. If the ship has stabilizers they were either useless, or not used to save fuel, either way not good.
Food & restaurant servicewas generally good, we ate in the one of the main restaurants most of the time, but breakfast was chaotic if you didn't go early & table hard to come by. Itinery was g ood Eidfjord, Flam & Bergen all nice. We didn't book any excursions with C & M but those who did seemed to think they were overpriced. Booked the Flam railway online saving over £50 for the pair of us this was the highlight for me, be careful though of timings if booking independently as we had to use a tender to get to shore & they make sure their excursion people disembark first. There was some good entertainment a guest comedian/singer did 2 shows that were very good. The ships entertainment team were enthusiastic & did there best but the quality was not good. There was one girl Sarah who had a lovely voice but she was only given a half our slot in the captains club. She should be used more. In summary enjoyed the places we visited, cabin & restaurant teams were excellent &did their best to please but the ship, the organization of things that mattered & the excess movement of the ship meant we would be unlikely to travel on this ship again.
Basic but clean, cabin steward Agilio was excellent.
No security, Xray bypassed & no passport checks on return
Lovely clean City plenty to see & do if a little expensive
