Because of fabulous Youtube we watched several videos of other peoples vacations aboard the Allure of the Seas and yet we were still awed by the magnificent ship and everything it had to offer. Our embarkation was super easy! We got right on the ship, started our drink package use, was greeted by lots of people, did a little dancing on the promenade and then walked around to explore. We had dinner at 150 Central Park and it was incredible. Our waiter Richard was excellent and the place was beautiful. He chatted to us about the food we received and for a special night it was really nice. We would have gone back again if not for…..My only complaint and I think I'm justified on this is that "it is an upscale restaurant". People were allowed to bring little children and even strollers into the place which to me took away from the feel. The babies cried and the toddlers got down to walk or be chased around the place every 15 minutes. I wanted to enjoy the evening without little ones running into our table. I think there should be a policy about that. We even went late.

Thought the food places were good. So much selection from the dining room to the buffet places there is no way you couldn't find something you liked. Yes people complained about this and that from previous cruises that we overheard but we loved everything. Our stateroom attendant was terrific as well as everyone we met. Always a smile even the people working the pool decks when it was super hot outside bringing drinks. My drink got knocked over and someone was there right away to replace it and didn't even ask for my drink card. They just asked what it was and got me another no questions.

the only time I felt pushed or bombarded was in the spa. My mother and I received massages and before I could even get my clothes on I was urged persistently to purchase $144 worth of skin care products. Also, there is no relaxation room afterward or ability to use the shower, steam room etc which would have made for a nice day. Next time I would skip the spa stuff. The massage was excellent though but I felt tossed out afterward when your still in that dreamy state.

Owner's Suite with Balcony

We did the Owners Suite with Balcony because my mother was traveling with us and we wanted to stay together. this was cheaper than two balcony rooms and it was huge. It gave us space, privacy and a huge bathroom.
