This is our 3rd cruise with the Celebrity Summit and the second to Bermuda in the last 12 months. What a difference a year makes! The main problem was the decreasing quality of the food, from tasteless soups to hard meat (not to mention microscopic appetizers) and too many of the out-of-the box ready to make-type cakes (the good old patisserie seen years ago is gone). Fruit is 90% water melon /melon with some token pieces of pineapple. It seems that the policy is to buy the cheapest possible ingredients and forget about taste or quality of the end-product. What a shame! (unfortunately we have noticed this trend in other lines as well).

Maybe that the new exclusive restaurant for suite class passengers is the cause for the MDR to be of lesser quality like in the old times (first part of the 20th century) the restaurants for 2nd and 3rd class passengers??

The crew is still attentive and pleasant, but a decrease in personnel is also evident and some , especially the servers in the Oceanside cafe, were overworked.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B

Cabin 2B

OK, but needs some repairs, like hole in the baseboard near the TV. Balcony needs some cleaning as well.

Bathroom needs a lot of caulking work in the shower area, shower curtain shows its age.
