Sail Date: Jun 2015
Cabin: Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite

Embarkation: We arrived at the port at 1:00 pm, and were on the ship by 1:15. We were able to go to our suite immediately to drop off our carry on and then on to Lido for lunch. Luggage arrived by the time we were done with lunch.

We found the public areas nicely decorated and liked the size of the ship. Decided we prefer a smaller ship to the mega ships. Staff was fabulous, always treated us well, and often spoken to by name. Quite impressed.

This was a very scenic cruise, had dinner one night on our balcony. Not the best meal. But, the scenery made up for it.

Cabin Review

Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite

Cabin SA

This is the first time we were in a Neptune Suite, and boy are we spoiled now. It will difficult to go back to our basic balcony cabin. Loved the size of the room, and the balcony was huge. Wish the cruise was longer than 7 days. Our cabin stewards were fabulous, and liked being able to use the Neptune Lounge.

Port Reviews

Bergen

We went to the Fish Market, and then hiked up Mt Floyen. Took a wrong turn and our hike ended up being 5 miles up. Glad when we finally reached the top. The hike down was only 3 miles.

Alesund

It was raining like crazy, we took the hop off/hop on bus to get a tour of the area. Got off at the aquarium. Enjoy the aquarium. Afterwards, we got off the bus near the city center and walked (in gale force winds) to a pub and a had a beer.
