The 10 day Alaska cruise was fabulous, the weather for the entire trip could not have been better; but what really set this trip apart comparing to other cruises was the Luminae dining experience. I had booked the suite guarantee room and received a mid-ship sky suite 6099 (not as lucky as previous time when received a Royal suite).

My flight arrived early the morning of departure so I was at the dock before the ship was ready, but after dropping off my luggage and taking a walk around the waterfront for about an hour, I was able to get on without any delay.

It is funny how you remember voices of particular people, I had been on the Millennium last year for the transpacific and first Alaska cruise, and right after boarding heard over the loud speaker announcements a voice that I recognized as Steve the cruise director and just a moment later he walks right by, so I knew from my previous experience that the entertainment would be very good and it was from the comedian, singer and violin player along with the regular shows. The naturalist speaker was also very knowledgeable and entertaining being an Alaskan park ranger.
