Sail Date: May 2015
Cabin: Aquatheater Suite with Balcony - Deck 9

We chose Oasis because it was the ship our four adult children wanted to go on for our family cruise. My husband and I were terrified of the ship's size and number of passengers, having just recently sailed on the spacious Celebrity Equinox. The ship was amazing, easy to get around, and felt very spacious and not crowded at all, even though we had close to 6000 people onboard. I also was pleased that, despite the size, we still felt like we were on a ship, we felt motion and didn't feel disconnected from the ocean like I had expected to feel. My opinion, however, is skewed by the fact that we splurged for a suite. This would have been a much different experience in two balcony rooms which we were originally going to book. We got a special where the four adult kids all went free, so it was literally only about $500 more than two balcony cabins would have been and it was so worth it!! We were so lucky to get that fare! Okay, I will start with the few negatives and end with the pros.

Cons:

1. Food- as on other Royal Caribbean ships, the main dining room food was just okay. We know this and expected it, so it wasn't a problem for us.

Cabin Review

Aquatheater Suite with Balcony - Deck 9

Cabin A2

We thought this was the most amazing cabin on any ship ever!! The cabin was not decorated all fancy or anything, it was similar in decor to standard cabins, but it was super comfortable and HUGE!!!! We had approx 720 square feet in the cabin, and 720 feet on the balcony!! 1440 square feet total!! The balcony had seating for 15, and still had lots of open space!! We could see out the back, had total privacy off the side, and could watch the Aquatheater show from the other side. It was so fun to talk to the people rock climbing next to us :) We could see across the ship to the other side too, the views were absolutely amazing!! Our adult children slept on the loungers on deck almost every night!! We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a huge living room with a nice sofa bed, and it was so wonderful. We had three TV's that we never used :) We had ton's of closed and storage even for the six of us. The second bedroom was small, useful for sleeping only, but that is all we needed it for!! The master bed and bath was much larger than a standard room, and was so very nice. The service was great and the benefits of a suite were amazing, it was so much fun to have the room!! Book it, you won't be disappointed!! The lighting at night from the Aquatheater area made the room so cozy and we loved it so much. The only thing to be aware of is that it is at the back of the ship, so it is a walk to the elevators. It didn't seem as long of a walk as we thought, we were worried about it, but it is a walk. If walking is an issue, I would choose a different room. Also, on the side of the balcony facing in, it isn't private, but if you want total privacy, it is there on the side. It was, without a doubt, the best room I have ever had at any hotel or on any ship!! I would get it again without hesitation!!! Truly amazing!!! I can't say enough about it!! Look at You Tube videos to get an idea of the room.
