When we boarded our cruise in Boston, we were given a letter by HAL that there had been a outbreak of the norovirus on the previous cruise but the ship was being sanitized. We could have gotten a full refund and in hind sight should have taken it. We were to be on the ship for 7 days with a one way trip to disembark in Montreal. We had cabin issues right out of the gate. NEVER book in the number 376 area. It sounds like bowling balls being thrown around over head from Midnight to 3AM. We were told it was the kitchen preparing for the day. After 2 nights of this and loss of electricity in our cabin twice, we were moved. Wednesday morning my husband woke up with the norovirus. I came down with it on Thursday. If you ever get a letter offering you a refund, take it. The staff seemed too overworked to provide good customer service and the food was poor. Selections were very limited. My wife has celiac and HAL usually does a great job with her diet. Not this trip. She had to almost beg for bread and the staff on Lido acted as if they had never heard the term gluten free. Poor training by someone. Entertainment was average. This ship is not up to HAL standards. This is our 5th cruise with HAL and we were huge fans until now.
Unobstructed ocean view. No real complaints and at least it was quiet
Flew in just in time for the cruise,
Not much to do in town.
