Not knowing what to expect we went on our first cruise in from 5/29/15-6/6/15. The ports of calls were US Virgin Island, British Virgin Island and Bahamas. The ship was the Getaway, from Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). The ship was impeccable, the cleanliness and attention to detail was amazing. From start to finish we had an incredible time. There was so much to do, but the best part was that you were free to choose what to do when you wanted. We travelled as a couple and I order the Romance package, believe me it was the best deal ever.

Our state room was interior, 11665; trust me you don’t spend any time inside your state room so it was worthy not spending the extra money on balcony, port, etc. Benjamin kept our place clean and he was attentive and took care of our needs. We had laundry done and it was fantastic. They sent a promotion for $19.95 a full bag of laundry, this was worth doing. Check the fine print because they return the clothes the last day, although we got it earlier. That was very nice.

The entertainment on board was fantastic. We danced so much that we needed a vacation from our vacation. The Latin Express Band was magnificent. They played what people requested and kept everyone energized and dancing away. There is so much to do that it is practically impossible to do everything, even if you want to. The shows were great we saw Burn the Floor, Legally Blond and Illusionarium. The best thing is that you have meet and greet with the performers and this gave you a behind the scene look. Read more
