Just got back from our Alaskan cruise on the Pearl...Starting from the Airport we found the norweign staff holding up signs for transfer to the port. Check in was a little long due to the time of our arrival. Our room was ready as soon as we boarded no wait. Approx 1:30.

We had room 11622 very roomy Large bathroom for a cruise ship, Room was right at the elevators we thought this might be an issue but we were wrong slept through the night. No noise to wake my husband who is a light sleeper. Our room steward Rhoel was awesome always greeting us when he would see us outside of the room. Made sure we had everything we needed without being in our way.His towel animals were funny loved the monkey so much he made it on two different nights since my husband told him how cute I thought it was. Some left us guessing which was hilarious to all of our group.

Staff was amazing they were everywhere. Most would greet you in passing a lot would take time to stop and talk to you. Very friendly. The bar staff would address us by name and would have our drinks ready as we walked up. We never had isues with getting drinks. Always friendly and asking about our day giving advice on what they liked about each port.

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

You cruise through Glaicer bay very nice ..We had Glaicier bay experts come on board and give lectures..very informative..

We had a balcony and the veiws were great...half way through we went on deck and we did not have any issue seeing as I have read about before.

Juneau

We rented a van from Juneau car rentals right on the dock.. They gave us directions to see Juneau favorites. We were able to see whales otters and seals all from a very secluded area that the person gave us directions too.plus we drove to the glacier ourself it was an easy drive to get there..It took half the time the tour buses did and we were able to go at our own pace. All for under 110 dollars for six and that included gas..We only shop downtown for a little bit because it was almost all jewlry stores.

Seattle

All we did was catch the transfer to the port..next time we will stay over in Seattle to do an excurion no time this time around..I have to say this airport by far was the longest wait we have ever had at a security checkin. And I have been to a few..I never mind the security but these employees were just working at a snails pace.the airport was packed and they had several secuity scanners closed causing longer wait times. And lots of people running to their flights.we were 3 hours early to airport and by time we made it through we only had 40 mins to spare. Just an fyi in case you are flying out of seattle. I don't know if this is the normal or maybe they just had alot of sick calls..
