When I purchased this cruise, I was aware it was a repositioning. What I wasn't aware of was the extent of renovations and closures that were going to be done whilst I was on board. Royal Caribbean kept very quiet about that and for that reason alone they should be ashamed of themselves.
Anyway, apologies in advance for a long review. However I think it's important to let people know just how I and all other passengers were treated by an otherwise reputable company. It's not a moaning session - everything in this review actually happened and even now I'm back home, I still can't believe they did this,
Embarkation was terrible. The girl who checked me in wanted to see my Visa for Singapore. I explained I was British and didn't need one. She replied that I did. I explained that I was in Singapore a few months back and didn't need one then and that she was mistaken. To cut a long story short, we argued for another while before I asked to see her manager. Off she went , came back and said I didn't need one. No apology, nothing. She also didn't tell me that my stateroom had been changed from the one I requested on my booking. I found that out the hard way when I boarded. We all waited in the hangar for about two hours and no-one seemed to be co-ordinating the boarding process. We eventually got on board around 4pm having arrived at the terminal at 1pm.
