This is my 2nd cruise on the Getaway. This year my BF, and daughter stayed at the Haven suites. It was a one bedroom suite which we enjoyed because we could have privacy. The sofa also converted to a twin bed. We had plenty of room. I loved the attentive staff and the daily snacks delivered to our room. I also liked how the Haven pool had waiters offering complimentary snacks along with taking drink orders. The downside to the haven was the pool. It was very, very small. there was also a restroom on the upper deck of the Haven pool that was out of order the entire duration of the cruise so we had to walk downstairs to the restroom. It was a bit inconvenient.
The boat itself: I love the free style dining and the restaurants are lovely. My favorite meal was at the LeBistro. The lobster was fantastic! and I'm and East Coast seafood lover.
Teppanyaki - good food but very loud. Don't go here for a quiet romantic dinner.
Nice spacious cabin with obstructed view balcony. The shower drain will clog and fill the shower floor if not properly adjusted.
The blow dryer was disgusting with hair and oil. It was obviously overlooked during the cleaning. Otherwise, the room was nice spacious enough for the 3 of us.
This is my personal problem but...I do not like using the decorative pillows. I'm a germaphobe and the thought of putting pillows on my bed that have not been laundered from the previous cruise grosses me out. I immediately removed the pillows from the bed and put them aside.
