Sailed out of the Baltimore Port, we stayed at the Best Western Plus which had a free shuttle and we also were able to park our vehicle there for the week. The shuttle can be slow due to traffic at the port and also a limited number of shuttle busses. The ports were Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay & Freeport. This was our 8th cruise on Carnival.

We had a balcony, which we have had the last several cruises, pretty much the same as other balcony rooms, plenty of room for 2. No problems with our cabin or bathroom, on other ships we've had issues with the drain in our shower getting plugged up, but this one was spotless and worked fantastic, even had a newer shower head which worked GREAT!

This was our 1st time cruising on the Pride, the layout is much different than any other ship we've sailed. It's quite a bit smaller and has some spectacular hallways and features, such as the Sunset Garden were super cute! The 2.0 upgrades can't be beat, Guy's Burgers is always awesome, the Blue Iguana breakfast burritos were fantastic, the Deli has some great sandwiches, hot & cold, if you're tired of the buffet, the 24/hour pizza (which really isn't really open 24 hours we found) when you need a late night snack, to the various food available during the day, the food was great!

The front of the ship we never get a room in, we typically are closer to the middle or rear of the ship. It was a great place near the elevator but not noisy at all. Very quiet and easy to find. The ship seemed a bit rocky, especially when we went to bed, but we didn't mind and don't get seasick so it was fine. We don't know if it was the location of the room or normal for this smaller size ship.

Port Reviews

Baltimore

Downtown Baltimore is fantastic! Lots of restaurants and entertainment, we visited the night before we left port and it was great! The port itself is somewhat congested and it took awhile for us to wait for our shuttle driver to pick us up after the cruise, but other than that it was a great location to leave from.

Half Moon Cay

HMC is Awesome! Once you get there, you never want to leave. It's gorgeous, the sand is soft, the water is crystal clear. The wait staff was plentiful if you wanted to order a drink and amenities such as half shells for shade were available for rent. A half shell cost us $20 for the day and it was well worth it.

Freeport

We went to Paradise Cove, which was a fantastic place to snorkel. Highly recommend anyone who has no plans in Freeport and likes to snorkel. It was way better than I expected, was a great place to see barracuda, sting rays and assorted fish. You will not be disappointed.
