If this had been my first cruise it would have been my last, it will be the last I do with Royal Caribbean. They need a lesson from P&O. There was nothing to do on sea days that was not at extra cost (even then not everyone wants to play Bingo or gamble in the casino) They had 40 sunbeds in the Solarium for 2500 people so you had to be on them by 7.00am. It was too cold to go outside. They said you could net reserve them but only on one day did they remove towels that had been on beds for more than 30 minutes. The cabin steward was excellent very friendly we wondered if he was on the wrong ship as the service ended when you left the cabin. The quality of the shows was generally poor- singers forgetting words and just oooing and lala ing occurred regularly. They put a lot of entertainment in the Atrium which has very few seats, and people reserve these for friends and go to dinner in shifts so you have to stand, RC could not see any problem with this. They did not consider those who physically cannot stand for long periods .The Park Café snacks were excellent but food in the restaurant was awful and service very slow it took 2.5 hours on average to have a three course meal. The food was just warm and on four nights I sent my meal back as it was cold. On the final night food was left standing for 10 minutes while the waiters did a dance they then act surprised that food is sent back because it is cold. We sat for three hours on deck 13 to watch the sail out of Stockholm we were then moved at 5.0pm as the ship was leaving with no notice and US citizens were given the seats there was no warning that they were going to do this and no other seats were then available. They also took drink orders at 4.55pm. Why market in the UK when we are treated as second class passengers. Announcements from the captain could not be heard in the Solarium as they were so muffled. We had a beer package as part of the offer when we booked but had to visit customer services twice as we were being charged for beer. The places we visited were good. An exceptional tour of St Petersburgh with Alla Tours and we met some interesting other guests.
