Overall I was very satisfied with the room, the ship and the overall cruise. There were some small issues which brought my overall rating down. The on shore boarding process was the best I have ever had but it is also the first time we have ever purchased a full suite. The only drawback to boarding was that our bags did not arrive in the cabin until we returned from the life boat drill. No explanation except that they were diverted to beverage control. The only liquids in the bags were those allowed by Royal Caribbean. The 4-wine bottles were the small .25 L bottles and the water bottles were sealed 16 oz bottles. If they have a policy to check the seals on the bottles then they should have a policy to keep the bags moving after they are checked. No liquids were removed from our bags. We do not spend a lot of time in cabin but when you have a large suite you tend to spend more time than usual. The television program selection was awful and many of the channels kept going out due to satellite position. Although the ship came from a US port the English speaking channels were often off or non-existent. They only had HLN & CNN International for a news channel. They did not have USA network or most other popular channels. The balcony was large and beautiful but the only furniture was two very uncomfortable wicker lounges. If you spent very much time on them you could feel the ridges coming through the lounge cover. Any movement would cause the lounge cover to slide down and it had to be pulled back in place. The concierge amenities offered to guests in the suite were excellent. Private breakfast dining was offered at Giovanni's Table restaurant and a complimentary Happy Hour was offered in the Crown Lounge every afternoon. The shore excursions we took were pretty good but I did not think the night time glass bottom boat cruise was worth the cost. In order to get to the major cities economically you need to travel on the ferry boat. There is not a lot of shopping where the ship docks.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite

Cabin OS

The cabin was excellent. In spite of the previous reviews I read regarding noise on the deck above the cabin we found that issue to be resolved. It sometime sounded like distant thunder but the buffet closed early so noise from the 9th deck was not an issue. The facilities worked well and the hot water was very hot. The internet was extremely slow but that is standard for most satellite internet providers. Television programming needs improvement.

Port Reviews

Baltimore

Stayed and parked at the Best Western Convention Center. Some wear and tear on the hotel but the room, breakfast, parking and shuttle to the ship was excellent. The port is very compact and well organized. The walk up to the ship can be strenuous on older people, take your time is you fit that description.
