This is my fourth time cruising with NCL only because of their freestyle cruising which allows me to be more relaxed and do what I want to do when I want it, after all I'm on vacation. Overall, it's been a great experience, the food is excellent with lots of choices to dine in, staffs were great, helpful and friendly and overall excellent service. The entertainment is excellent and plenty of activities to choose from, loved all the shows at Stardust theater. Our cabin is just right and plenty of storage space to keep our things organized in a very small space, bed is comfortable as well. Disembarkation is well organized and the daily sheet reminders regarding onboard activities is of great help. The downside is, the ship is a little old but well-maintained. The wifi I think is overpriced, $225 for unlimited service for the duration of the cruise (9 days).

One thing I noticed with NCL is that, all of the times I've cruised with them, it skipped a port, I don't know if it happens all the time but with my experience, it did. 2 cruises in the Bahamas with Norweigian Sky, it skipped Coco cay both times, with Norweigian Pearl in Alaska, it skipped Juneau, and now with Norweigian Star, it skipped Stockholm. I didn't care much about missing Coco cay, but with Juneau and Stockholm, it's a huge disappointment, especially that I paid big money to see these places and I din't get to see them. We were told that the Captain made a decision not to stop in Stockholm because the water is rough, but in my opinion, it's not that rough at all. I've talked to staffs about it and I was told it's the first time this happened (I don't know about that). I have to spend additional $500 to fly to Stockholm after we disembark in Copenhagen just to see the place, and there we met some people cruising with Holland America. We were told that it was also rough water when they disembark at Stockholm but they disembark anyway. I think the captain just didn't try hard enough leaving everybody on board disappointed. This is making me think twice about using NCL next time. I think Princess cruises and Holland America adopted the same freestyle cruising recently and maybe I should try them next time and have better luck on seeing all of the places as scheduled in the itinerary.

Our cabin is just right and plenty of storage space to keep our things organized in a very small space, bed is comfortable as well. We were provided with plenty of clean towels and love all the animal shaped towels made Tu. Water pressure, hot water, shower drain all in good order.
