I didn't know what to expect for my first cruise, every time I thought about taking one, a bad story about a cruise ship would come out. I decided to just do it and was pleasantly surprised.

The Pride of America is such a great ship. The bed was comfortable, I had a balcony, which was great. Since I'm very tall, they put a bed extender on so my feet would not hang over as much. The showers are a tad small but the pressure is good nevertheless, I didn't expect a huge bathroom.

The restaurants are nice, the staff is very friendly, and they had a lot of activities aboard the ship. I ate at Cagney's, Jefferson's Bistro (Great French Onion soup), Moderno's and the buffet for breakfast everyday.

The bed was comfortable, I had a balcony, which was great. The showers are a tad small but the pressure is good and I didn't expect a huge bathroom. If you're tall, ask for a bed extender to be put on. They can also move the two twins into a king for you. I slept very well on the ship and normally have a difficult time sleeping while travelling.

Port Reviews

Honolulu

I went to Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona, Mighty Mo, the Bowfin, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Dolphins and You, and Minoa Falls hike. I did these on my own and not through the ship. I recommend each one.
