I will start off by saying that I don't love cruising. It doesn't matter what cruise line, ship or ports. However, this cruise line is bottom of the barrel...but it was all we could afford right now. Getting on the ship was fine...no different than other lines...so give it an average rating. The rooms were ok..except for the decor. It was orange & red. I'm assuming they picked those colors so cruisers won't stay in their rooms. However, it hurt our family's eyes. There were 4 of us....husband-50, wife-48, daughter-14 and son-11. We did get our ports switched around because of Hurricane Blanca..so we replaced Puerta Vallarta with Ensenada. We chose to stay on the ship. I'd say the worst part of the cruise is the pool temperature...FREEZING. Second was the main dining room..the food was NOT good and the wait staff were mediocre-poor. They never remembered to give my son a kids' menu..or tell him the pasta special. He had to ask every single evening. Once they presented the main dish...you could never find them to ask them for parm. cheese for caesar salad or pasta. Also, if you didn't play trivia then there really wasn't much to do during the day. We were bored. Really tasty pizza in Horacios (which is open 24 hours)...however sometimes there is a 30 min wait for pizza since it's made fresh to order. Also, the cheeseburgers made at "Off the Grill" by the pool were really good. It was nice to have soft serve ice cream and fro yo open 24 hours a day. There were some good comedians. The shows were average. The best part of the cruise was disembarkation. We were on deck 8...we chose self service (we carried our own luggage). We didn't have to put our luggage outside our room the night before. We woke up, had breakfast and heard our cabin floor called at 8:45 and we got to the parking lot by 9:30. That was the best part of the trip!
Color scheme was nauseating. Layout good. We were comfortable with 4 people in the room. Clean. Beds were very comfortable.
