Most significant disappointment was quality of food. Main dining room food was very much below expectation or experience on other cruises we have done ( almost all other lines including Holland, Royal Carribean, NCL and Carnival). Dry overcooked pork chop, bad piece of salmon, veal chop that was marbled with fat and overcooked, dry, tough steak, cordon blue that was so dry no cheese left in the middle. The cafeteria style dining was also poor quality of especially meats and most sauces very poor taste and quality. Pasty Alfredo sauce, Cesar salads would only toss with dressing no additions, watery meat sauce for the pasta with layer of oil on the top, meatballs with nasty filler and no flavor.

The cafeteria style dining was not set up well with handles falling into the food in almost every counter. Very unsanitary and should be reported to the health department. Other cruises have had food behind glass and server wearing gloves dispense the food. I would prefer this in most stations.

The decor for the cafeteria and main dining room was very much lacking in decor. No ambiance at all. Most cruise ships have more atmosphere and flowers on the tables. Why dress up for a room that is not much better than the cafeteria?

Room was typical. We were assigned a room at the back which worked really well for Alaska and shoreline views. 6th floor turned out nice, closer to the scenery and water. A little loud and occasionally smelled diesel. Shower not on a hose, which I prefer. Excellent housekeeping. Clip for the curtain would have been appreciated to keep the light out in the mornings. I could hear the neighbors talking frequently, only annoying early morning.
