My first time on Carnival (previously on Royal Carib, Princess, Celebrity & Norweigian) and I have nothing but good things to say about this ship. It was spotlessly clean, service both in the cabin and dining room was excellent. The band in the casino was great, and the woman in the piano bar was good also. She had quite a following, we only went there on our last night since a lot of time was spent in the casino. The entertainment shows were just ok. Went for a spa treatment, a first for me, and it was enjoyable, their relaxation room and spa pool are also great. We enjoyed the dining room food very much (awesome Thai soup one night) and although we had anytime dining, we sat in the same area almost every night, and had the same wait staff. They were fantastic! Only negative is with crowded breakfast buffet in the morning, long lines. The sea day brunches in the dining room are a better situation but take almost as long if you sit at a table with others, because they won't take your order until the table is full. Ask for your own table and that solves that. There is a nice adults only area with comfy lounge chairs and peace and quiet above the Lido deck, just keep going up. Otherwise the lounge chairs near the pool get filled up early. Lunchtime, we liked the deli, and the pizza place. Ate at the steakhouse one night, it was well worth it. I would definitely cruise with Carnival again!

Cabin Review

Cloud 9 Spa Balcony

Cabin 8S

We traveled with friends, when we asked they were able to open the partition between our balcony's so we could enjoy the larger space together.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Took our own cab with others to visit friends who were staying at Simpson Bay a 15 min ride from the ship. I'm sure there are better beaches, this one was pretty but very rocky on the bottom. Good place to find shells though.

New York (Manhattan)

Traffic getting to the pier can be horrendous. We waited more than 30 min in 2 blocks of traffic, but we had left early enough that it didn't matter. Once we got there we breezed thru check in and our cabins were already. Luggage was delivered in a timely fashion.
