Both my friend and I are seasoned international travelers for both business and pleasure. We have taken many cruises from ports like Tahiti and the Galapagos. We were both very displeased with our experience on the Rinda.

The cruise was advertised as a Paris cruise and all the literature we received touted it as a Paris cruise. It was not! The boat docked an hour's bus ride away from Paris. We were never informed that would be the case. When we were picked up at the airport we taken to a little town of no interest called Le Peq. If we had known we would have elected to go from the airport into the city. When we arrived at the boat, we were given the option to go back to the city an hour away after we had flown for 10 hours. We would not have taken this cruise had we known that the longships are not permitted in Paris. It was dishonest of Viking not to have informed of this fact which they knew of in advance. All the locations we visited were bus rides away. Normandy was 2 hours each way by bus.

Breakfast and lunch were fine and the service at dinner was good but the food and wine were very average. In fact, meals were sent back from our tables several times. Giverny was only a 1/2 day trip. It would have been good to have spent the day there as this was one of the highlights.

Clean and smaller than on an ocean cruise
