This was our first time cruising with Norwegian. Would we do it again? Yes, Yes we would. While the Norwegian Sun is one of their older ships, it is very well maintained and clean. The theater was the only room that looked old and in need of upgrading. The entire staff on the ship was overly pleasant & courteous throughout the entire cruise.
We had one of two owner's suite overlooking the bow of the boat. We've sailed in balcony suites before, but the owner's suite is the way to go. You get priority embarkation and disembarkation at each port and they treat you like royalty.
Check in on the first day took less than 5 minutes. No pesky long lines. There was a chilled bottle of champagne and a fresh floral arrangement waiting in our room. As for the room itself, it was just under 900 square feet. There was plenty of room to move about. It had a full living room and dining area, a large bedroom with sitting area, a large walk in closet, a HUGE tiled & granite bathroom housing double sinks with lighted vanities, a full size jet tub, a walk in shower and premium care products from the ships spa. The room was also equipped with your own espresso machine, a buffet with wet bar including china, flatware, champagne glasses, wine glasses & a fully stocked fridge. Three bottles of alcohol of your choice were also included. And, there was a guest bathroom in the atrium. Now, let's not forget the MASSIVE private balcony with room for a dining table with four chairs, two lounge chairs, two end stands and a hot tub. That's right, your own private hot tub on your balcony. There was a 40" flat screen tv in the living room. Just when you think it couldn't get any better, you also have a personal butler, concierge & steward all at your fingertips. One pleasant surprise were the treats delivered to your room daily. These were a combination of chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, pastries, sliced fresh fruits, sandwiches or sushi. There was also a list of complimentary movies for your in room viewing, delivered by calling your butler.

Owner's Suite with Large Balcony
The stateroom was well equipped and clean. The staff was friendly & ever so helpful! We spent most of our time in the room or on the balcony. Truly an amazing unforgettable experience. We look forward to sailing Norwegian again!
