We have been on the Jewel, Gem and Breakaway.
If you like crowds and blasting noise that make your balcony sliders vibrate until 2 a.m., the Breakaway is for you. If you want peace and quiet, go to the Gem.
If you want to deal with making reservations for every show (and sometimes not being able to see one), go to the Breakaway. If you want to just walk into a show on the spur-of-the-moment, the Gem is for you.
Small and tight for the money. If the sofa bed is open, the mattress extends all the way to the table so that no one can go to the balcony. When open, the room looks like two mattresses crushed together. No space between bed and sofa bed.
Go to the Tiki Bikini Hut (next to FAT TUESDAYS). Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beach. Just a 20 minute walk from the pier (follow Junkanoo Beach signs) on the street on the left side of Senor Frogs.
Beautiful place but it was raining so we just stayed 20 minutes and took the tender back. We spent more time on the tender than we did on Great Stirrup Bay!
We stayed on board the ship. The other passengers who went to Cocoa Beach told us that the beach was closed so they returned to the ship. We saved $39 ($13 per passenger for the bus ride) and stayed by the pool.
I was born and raised in Manhattan and I love it. I am just writing something because the Cruise Critic website is forcing me to write at least 150 characters, otherwise, I cannot submit my review.
