This was my first experience cruising and several co-workers recommended I try Norwegian as the embarkation port is Boston which is very close to my home. This cruise was to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday which is a pretty big celebration in my family; however there were several areas we were just disappointed with. To start with the food in the main dining rooms was very underwhelming. The service was slow and the waitstaff was not very attentive. The ship also had to return back to Boston for a medical emergency costing us a day in Bermuda which was disappointing, and we didn't receive any communication about this until after the fact, nor did the cruise line offer any sort of compensation for the disruption to our vacation, they could have at least given a free drink or on-board credit for each passenger.

While the cabin was small we didn't really mind as we anticipated being out of the cabin for the majority of the cruise, so we were fine with the cabin but couldn't understand why we had one electric socket. Three people with tablets and phones and one socket was challenging.

I visited the Spa and while I enjoyed by hot stone massage it was somewhat pricey. However the major irritation at the Spa came from the hard sell of products after my massage, I don't know how many times I declined to purchase the products before they finally got the message.
