First some perspective on experience….This was our 5th cruise…….4 on Carnival and 1 on Royal Caribbean.
Pre Cruise
Prior to our cruise we stayed at the Homewood Suites Blue Lagoon. Although it was located across the expressway from the Airport, we never were bothered by airplane noise at all. We asked for a room that was located on the opposite side of the Airport just in case. The hotel was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. It did not appear that it was easy walking distance from shopping etc… It was not a problem for us because we had a rental car from National.
Cabin Review
Balcony
We did not experience any issues with noise above of below us. It was very convenient to the Lido deck which was definitely a plus. Great room selection.
Port Reviews
Miami
This cruise port was too slow with processing people on board. Port Canaveral was the best so far that we have seen. It is however a good place for dining and shopping precruise.
Grand Cayman (Georgetown)
We did not take an excursion here because of the weather. The turtle farm visit was cancelled. We did receive a full refund of our money. We got soaked
