I did this same cruise last year, my first cruise ever, so that is what I am going to compare it to.

Rather than stay local overnight, we chose to drive down on the Monday morning and park in the car park next to the ship. Cost $75 but was simple and straight forward. As it was 11.30 by then, boarding was really quick.

Dining room - my fair lady. Food, not great. Hard vegetables all week. Seafood dishes had hardly any seafood in. Desserts were disappointing. Didn't appear freshly made. Typical mass produced food. Language barrier with staff was also slightly irritating.
