A Great Cruise Aboard a Beautiful Ship
Celebrity Summit Cruise to Bermuda, May 24th to May 31st , 2015
We were a party of two, my wife and I, both senior citizens. This was our twenty-fourth cruise since 2001, the second with Celebrity having sailed on the Silhouette in its inaugural season. We also have sailed with Holland America, Princess, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean, all very pleasurable experiences. We were considered Concierge Classic members by Celebrity and as such received certain amenities; an in-room welcoming bottle of champagne, fruit and sweets, a daily tray of canapés’ and other material gifts. Also, finding out a bit late, a complimentary glass of wine at dinner and complimentary special coffees and desserts were available at all times. Due to a mix-up in our reservation, Celebrity comp’d us with a considerable on-board credit.
The cabin was larger than what we've become accustomed to. The bathroom was sufficient in size. Water pressure in the shower could have been higher. The cabin was kept spotless by housekeeping.
Check-in and boarding were smooth. No longer were busses required to transport passengers to the ship. A ride up an escalator, a walk across a gangway and you're on-board. Champagne awaited us on-board.
Kings Wharf and the Royal Naval Dockyard are very clean and well maintained. There is minor shopping and a beautiful beach, Snorkel Park. We did not take any scheduled excursions due to inclement weather.
