Traveled with children

Hi there,We are three, one adult mom and twin girls aged 10. We have cruised with Carnival (won't do again), Celebrity, Princess, Disney and now our first on NCL. This was our best cruise yet and we booked another cruise on the Getaway while still on board. I agree with all of the positive things I have read in other reviews about the Breakaway, with one exception, the children's program. My girls said there were some rambunctious boys on board that made the kids club unpleasant and kept the kids counselors screaming. One child was able to persevere, the other child came back crying after an hour and a half and she refused to return because she couldn't stand the yelling. That being said, there was so much for the children to do on board that they really didn't miss the children's program. They met other kids at the pool and were able to meet up and have fun on their own with parents close by.

Regarding the rest of the trip, the cruise staff really was wonderful, a special shout out to Leo our cabin steward. There are simply too many other standouts to mention, from the servers to the pool staff, cleaners, arcade staff, bartenders, etc., they were all very friendly and helpful. The food was great and I did not expect to like it being a Celebrity food snob. We enjoyed all of the specialty restaurants we went to, and enjoyed the buffet too. The hamburgers in the Cafe were the best I have ever had at sea.

Great entertainment, lots of activities. The kids enjoyed the pools, slides, bowling, chess, arcade games, ropes course, arts and crafts, mini golf, trampoline, and more. We also liked the nightly entertainment. We could have easily enjoyed another week on the cruise and the kids didn't want to leave. If they didn't have to go back to school this week, I would have considered looking into staying on another week.
