We have cruised 25 times prior to this trip on various cruise lines and are currently Diamond members of Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor. We decided to reserve a Junior Suite this time and even though it was a little expensive, it was very enjoyable with lots of storage space.
It seems as if every time one of their ships goes in to get refurbished, the dance floors get smaller and the bars and pay restaurants get bigger and more plentiful. The activities, dance lessons in particular, are getting fewer and fewer. On this last cruise, there were no country line dance lessons even though there was a good country band, and only two ballroom dance lessons. The Country band was good, but I challenge anyone to try to do a two step or country waltz on the dance floor where they played. The other venue, with a slightly larger and definitely more appropriate dance floor could not be used I was told because of noise complaints from cabins above the Sphinx lounge. Was this never considered by the designers of the Royal ships?
The tea on this ship as well as the last Celebrity ship was terrible. Have they never heard of Tetley or Lipton. Even 2 teabags in one cup didn't do the trick.
The junior suite was spacious with a walk in closet and lots of storage space. It was a little expensive, but we enjoyed it very much. The balcony had two chairs and two lounges as well. We also enjoyed four free bottles of water.
