We winter in Florida - so we drove over to Fort Lauderdale - stayed at the Rodeway Inn- leaving our car for the 14 days - took the shuttle to and from the cruise terminal, had excellent service.
Embarking was fast, seemed we just sat down, and before we knew it our number was called, and we were on the ship, in our cabin.
Maasdam is the smallest ship we have sailed on. Has pros and cons. We chose the itinerary, so had no choice with the ship. Smaller ship, easy to find everything, but limited in activities,especially sea days, just our opinion.
Cabin Review
Large Ocean-View Stateroom
Lots of storage space, bed extremely comfortable. No mini refrigerator in the room. Bathroom had a bathtub with a high side, it was difficult getting in and out, and we do not have any mobility issues, just something to keep in mind. Our cabin attendants took very good care of use and our cabin.
