This was cruise number 12 on Carnival for me. We flew in 2 days early, spent 1 night in Seattle at the Hampton Inn by the Space Needle and then took Amtrak to Vancouver for 1 night staying at the Ramada Limited on West Pender Street. Loved the train ride up, very scenic and saw many eagles along the way.

Vancouver was nice to walk around and see, we enjoyed the Gastown area.

Embarkation was a total joke, 2 ships have to share the same security lines, and same US Customs Lines (You clear customs as there were no ports in Canada on the itinerary) and then you are directed to ship check in. Total check in process takes well over 1 hour.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8C

Standard Carnival Balcony, plenty of space and room for 2 people. Room was kind of warm but Carnival said the temps were within their standards so we made due.

Port Reviews

Vancouver

Vancouver is very easy to get around. We walked along Robson street where many of the shops are and then took a cab over to Gastown. It is a very nice artsy area, lot to see and we had dinner here before walking back to the hotel.
