liked the size of the ship. easy to get around. stayed in a balcony, deck 7, port side , about 2/3`s the way back. room nice size. mattresses were noticeably sunken in. still, i slept well. room just a tad bit warm although the a/c was on max cooling. a couple of the singers were slightly out of key in their performance. cabin steward excellent. (Raul) .i did notice several times a slight odor of a combination of ``diesel fuel oil & a sewage vent`` . once was in my cabin about 7pm. also several times, as we entered the hallway from getting off of the elevator deck 7 in the later evening. also noticed it one evening walking back to the `south pacific` lounge . it wasn`t obnoxious , just a hint of this gaseous odor. one day i walked to the upper deck near the back of the ship where the large tail fin extends vertically. on this tail fin there are air intake vents. near this tail ,i noticed a square vent on the side of the fin. in that area i encountered the fuel oil smell /sewage odor combo. . possibly when the wind changes, this vent gasses gets sucked into the ship`s supply vent??? also ,the couple at our table had an aft deck 3 cabin. they said the room smelled like old cigar smoke. after 3 nights of complaining they insisted to be moved. finally they were moved out of the aft area. this ship had an aft fire a couple years ago around decks 5, 6, i believe. the residual smoke must be still in the ventilation system to this cabin? in summary, if the price was really good, i would go on this ship again. just avoid aft lower deck cabins.
cabin just a little on the warm side. nice size. mattresses a little sunken in. still slept ok. cabin steward Raul was excellent
