We did the B2B transatlantic and British Isles cruise. We flew down a day early and rented a car with Dollar. While renting it at the FLL airport the rep asked why were returning the car the same day. We told him we were going on a cruise and our hotel had a shuttle for $10/person to take us to the pier. He said to keep the car overnight (he even added on an extra hour so the rental was 25 hours) and when we return it we can take the airport shuttle bus to the pier. All we needed to do was show them our car rental receipt and the trip would be free because Dollar pays for it!! We did not know about this.

We have only been on Grand class ships before and never have had a balcony (previously we had window suites and one cruise we had an inside). We had heard about the complaints of this ship but went with an open mind. We LOVED it! This ship is beautiful. Did it have some design flaws? Yes, but nothing that would ruin a cruise or make us not go on this lovely ship. (we took the stairs all the time so no comments about how busy or not the mid elevators are. We did not mind not having the mid set of stairs although it would have been nice) The cruise director, Lisa Ball, was the best we have ever had. She was engaged in many activities. We had never seen this before. Her staff had a lot of energy and were engaging.

Food was very good and this includes Horizon Court and bistro and the MDR. We never had to wait for a table in the MDR as we were always willing to share a table. Food in the Crown Grill was excellent. Alfredo's, in my opinion, was underused by the passengers. It was never crowded. I wonder how many people thought it cost extra? We really enjoyed it. I always got the vegetarian pizza whereas my dh got a Magharetta pizza (not on the menu but they will make it if you ask). Swirls had delicious soft serve ice cream. We have found that some ships have very watery (icy) soft serve but this was creamy and delicious.
