I have cruised Princess many times. Ultimately, I was satisfied with my most recent experience on the Golden. Since being purchased by Carnival the overall quality of Princess has declined and continues to do so.
The weather was gorgeous not one day of rain!!! We were so lucky. Our day in Glacier Bay was absolutely spectacular. The National Park Rangers did a super job narrating as usual. I also arranged an independent Whale Watching Tour with Harv and Marv in Juneau. We had a good time and saw a number of whale and enjoyed a little while at Mendenhall Glacier.
There were no issues at the Port of San Francisco. Everything was handled smoothly as was leaving on the 22nd.
Cabin Review
Cabin was fine. Stewart was polite and kept our room well stocked.

Skagway
Since I had visited before, I just walked into town and went thru the shops. It was a quiet restful day. The weather was beautiful so I just took advantage of walking around and enjoying.
Ketchikan
Again weather was wonderful. Went to the visitor center and picked up a map. Followed the walking paths thru the historical part of the city, harbor, etc. We ended up walking all day enjoying the sunshine. Visited the Totem Pole Museum. Very nice place.

Love this small town. Beautiful 1.5 mile walk from the boat to town. It is an easy walk very flat. Walked down to Chinatown and had a look around. A little disappointed. It was so early the shops were not open. Walked a few miles up to Craigdarroch Castle. Then walked back into the downtown area and took a route past Beacon Hill Park by the water and back to the pier. It was a great day.
