For a rainy day on embarkation, checking in was fairly quick. I believe they let us on shortly after 12pm. It was suggested that we carry on our luggage since it was raining. Although we had a lot of luggage, we did so to avoid the nightmare of wet luggage and possible late luggage. Rooms were closed off(for cleaning since passengers just got off from the boat from another cruise) so we lugged everything to the Tiffany Buffet Lounge.
Tiffany Buffet: Carnival's logistics are a bit poor in this area. With the amount of people on board, there's a burger area with some buffet food near the pool area. Inside the Tiffany room, there are two buffet sections, each serving different items, i.e one side American, one mexican. Next day, it could be one side asian, other side something else. You get the point. So essentially, the entire boat of passengers all access the same section to get food. Breakfast is a little better in the sense that both buffet sections serve the same food.
For breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food is a solid C. Very average. It's been a while since I cruised on Carnival and maybe my food palate has gotten pickier but the food is just so so. For breakfast, I highly suggest sit down style.
Decent size room with decent size bathrooms. I have been in smaller rooms which were very uncomfortable. Rooms had a safe, two closet areas, table, chair, ottoman, and decent walking space. It was comfortable for an interior room.
