We sailed as a family. 12 of us total mostly ranging from ages 17 to 52 with 1 18 month-old. We sailed from Boston on the first cruise after the grounding incident in Bremuda so we weren't even sure if the ship would sail until we were already in Boston. It's been a while since we sailed with Norwegian, but we liked the destination and decided to give "freestyle crusing" another try since we really enjoyed it when our two boys were much younger.

We had some issues initially when we booked because Norwegians policy would not allow my 2 sons (age 19 and 17) to have a room together. Mind you, we have booked them in a inside cabin together, across the hall from our balcony, on every Carnival cruise we have been on since they were 12 and 14 years old. I spoke with a customer service supervisor at length and managed to work things out prior to our cruise.

Check-in was a breeze. We got to the port about 11:30 and were on the boat by 12:15 or so.
