What an awesome cruise experience. This was me and my girlfriends first cruise and we weren't sure what to expect. Needless to say, we were blown away. We are already planning our next one! When planning our first real vacation, we wanted to do something fun, but not break the bank. This cruise totally met our needs and then some. Very affordable for what you receive. We are from Dallas, so we chose Galveston as our port. We drove down the day before and stayed at the "Tremont House" which was also very nice. They also have a sister hotel "Galvez" where we were able to valet our vehicle for the entire duration of the cruise for $17. Way cheaper than parking anywhere else I could find. They also shuttled us to and from the port for free. Our cruise was on the Carnival Triumph, 4 days through the western Caribbean to Cozumel and back. We took the shuttle about 11am and arrived at the port within minutes. I purchased the "faster to the fun(FTTF)" package so embarkation was super quick(I highly recommend the faster to the fun package). Once we arrived to the port, we dropped of our luggage at the end of the port and walked to the other end for check-in. Being FTTF, we had our own check-in line, security check, and our own line to get our Sail&Sign Cards. The whole check in process only took maybe 10 minutes at the most. We then went to the terminal and waited to board the ship. Boarding was supposed to begin at 1230pm but customs issues pushed it back to about 1pm. At 1pm boarding started. First group was the Wedding Parties(2 weddings on this cruise), then the Platinum, Gold and Suite Members, then the FTTF(us), then everyone else. We were on the ship and in our balcony stateroom by 115pm. We took the opportunity to go up to the main(lido) deck before everyone else boarded to eat and enjoy the pool. I don't think regular boarding was finished until close to 4pm. FTTF was the best purchase I made. The entire staff was amazing and so friendly. Our Stateroom Stewardess was Gladys and she was so awesome. She really took good care of us and helped us anytime we needed it.

Our Cruise Director was Kirk and he was awesome and hilarious. He kept us all well informed the entire cruise.

The Lido deck was always popping with people, but it made for a fun experience. Anytime it got to crowded up there, there was always something else to do. Sometimes we just went to our room and sat on the balcony. Trust me there is always something to do, whether it be a show, casino, trivia games, bingo, bar, etc. We were NEVER bored. The food was great, we eat at every place on board during our cruise. Dinner was at 815pm every night our server was Yaco, who was always awesome each night. The food was great(a little fancy at times). If you didn't like the menu at the restaurant, you could always hit up the buffet, pizza, or somewhere else. Food was never scarce, and was always good!
