Almost 30 cruises previously and this was #7 on Carnival. I booked 5 cabins and we had 2 different cabin stewards. My steward introduced himself immediately and was always around / friendly (Jerry). The other steward wasn't seen for 4 days even though he had been called / notes left asking for beds to be split & ice.
This was my first experience with Carnival's new menu. I personally didn't care for it and our group of 10 struggled to find something on two different nights. Food was considerably lower standard then a year ago. Should have gone to buffet, pizza or Guys. The tables did not have tablecloths. I never thought this would bother us, but there was so much condensation from glasses that they were sliding & dripped on us when you picked them up.
We had assigned early dining. Our wait staff (lower level, aft at window) was without a doubt the absolute worst I've ever experienced. We sat for 45 minutes without being spoken to, no drinks from bar service etc. All tables around us were nearly done as we received apps. Overworked & head waiter just didn't care. First time ever I complained to maître d (night one). Following night service was good, but it declined quickly again.
